Brunch or lamb? Our tips for Easter wines!

The festive one

A Prosecco of the highest quality, with a subtle sweetness that is pleasant and not excessive. Pairs well with both savoury and sweet brunch delicacies, from egg salad to Easter cakes – perfetto!

Meek as a lamb

How enchanting, this spicy flavour! A bold and juicy accompaniment to meat, especially a fine gigot with seasonal vegetables on the side.

Whether it’s brunch with the family or the classic Easter lamb on a beautifully laid table – we have some wine tips for you!

Maybe you’re planning a delicious Easter brunch with family or friends? If everyone brings a dish there will be a wildly varied but extremely promising buffet! But with all this variety you have to choose the wines wisely, since they have to go with cheese and egg dishes as well as decadent desserts. Our recommendation: Merotto’s Castè from Valdobbiadene. This Extra Dry – for everyone who finds brut too dry – is considered a chameleon among Prosecchi and pairs well with many of the foods you will find at an Easter feast.

Or maybe, with Lent behind you, you prefer to celebrate with that old Easter classic: an oven-roasted gigot. Marciliano shows its true potential when paired with a tender leg of lamb, still nice and pink in the middle. The grapes for this complex Cabernet Cuvée from Cotarella are selected by hand after the harvest. It’s a wine for special occasions, a perfect match for the upcoming holidays!
