Update NowThe name says it all: the word «arnèis» in the Piedmontese dialect means a stubborn personality. Indeed, it takes a certain dexterity to coax the best out of this white grape variety from Piedmont. This is one of the reasons it almost died out in the 1970s. However, it is now experiencing a true renaissance. Top winemakers such as Bruno Giacosa or Prunotto use it to create intense wines with notes of ripe pear, subtle acidity, plenty of depth and mellowness. Tip: Arneis is the perfect accompaniment to vitello tonnato.
