And because our meatballs in spicy tomato sauce often receive compliments, we like to pair them with Cum Laude, an outstanding Tuscan red. Cum laude means ‹with praise› and the term may be familiar to some university graduates. The Bordeaux blend from Montalcino gives off hints of blackberry and tobacco and is aged in barrels. Toasted notes in wine pair well with the grilled notes of meat.»
