For over 110 years, our family has been dedicated to Italy and Italian culture. We are hosts and wine merchants with a passion. And winegrowers with a love of nature. Warm hospitality, dedication to quality and genuine craftsmanship form the bedrock of our daily work. We convey Italian joie de vivre.
Gastronomy
We opened our first wood-fired pizzeria in Zurich in 1965: Santa Lucia. Since then, we have expanded and now have over 40 restaurants across Switzerland – all run with great warmth and hospitality to pamper guests with the best of Italian cuisine.
Tenuta Vallocaia – our winery
What was love at first sight more than 40 years ago is now a thriving winery. Rudi Bindella sen. and his local team have invested plenty of passion, dedication and hard work to create a model company. The 2.5 hectares of land that the winery had in 1983 have now grown to 175 hectares. One third of this is stocked with grapevines, while olive trees grow on a further 16 hectares. «We feel that we have grown together with this land. Tenuta Vallocaia is my ‹piccolo paradiso›,» says Rudi Bindella sen.

Are you looking for a lively aperitif wine, a birthday gift, a wine to take to a party or a fine bottle of red wine for a Sunday roast? We are happy to help!
In our vinotecas in Zurich-Wipkingen, Berne and Ticino, you can taste all our promotional wines free of charge. What’s more, we offer expert advice. Our range contains over 500 wines from Italy. Plus grappa, olive oil, balsamic vinegar and delicatessen items. We also offer a small but fine selection of wines from France, Argentina, Chile and Switzerland.
Craftsmanship & Property
With our plastering, painting and decorating, we aim to lend spaces a special charm, elegance and comfort. You can rely on us when it comes to timing, costs and a well-organised building site.

History
Jean Bindella founded a wine shop in 1909 and specialised in importing Chianti from Tuscany. This laid the foundation for our family business, complete with restaurants, wine shop, craft operations and 1500 employees.
