Update NowThis is what we call a white wine that is made from red grapes. This is possible because the pigment isn’t found in the pulp, but in the peel. So when red grapes are pressed and only the juice is fermented, you get white wine. The method is common practice among sparkling wines, and the result is called Blancs de Noirs. Which makes Blancs de Blancs – that’s right! – a sparkling wine made from white grapes. How about an example?
