San Leonardo’s flagship wine, offering very good value for money. Classic Bordeaux blend. A fruity emphasis when young, it reveals notes of plum and underbrush when more mature. Juicy acidity on the palate, finely honed tannins from the barrel ageing and a pleasantly spicy finish.

The perfect match for pasta with tomato sauce or grilled foods of any kind.
Vinification
Spontaneous fermentation and maceration for 12 to 15 days in small concrete tanks, changed several times a day and racked sporadically. Half
of the wine is matured for 12 months in cement tanks and the other half in large Slavonian
oak barrels, then 20% of this is aged for at least six months in French
barriques. The young wine then spends at least six months
in the bottle before it is ready for sale.
