Details
Like its big brother Brunello, the single-variety Rosso di Montalcino is made from Sangiovese grapes. Elegant, very fruity nose with fine wood and spice notes. Impressive concentration.
Recommendations
Ideal with red meat and pasta with spicy sugo.
Vinification
After harvest, the grapes are macerated for ten days in stainless steel tanks. The young wine is matured for three to six months, some in 60 and 90 hl French oak barrels and some in 350 l French oak barriques.
