Pale straw yellow with golden highlights. On the nose it presents with aromas of pears, peaches and citrus fruits. These are joined by zesty floral notes of roses and orange blossom. On the palate it is fresh, full and round, very long-lasting with a touch of lemon and a fine, refreshing acidity.

Vinification
After years of experimentation, the Appassimento technique – where the grapes are dried after harvest, as with Amarone – was used for the first time for the 2012 vintage of Passo Blanco. After picking, the Pinot grigio grapes were lightly dried for 15 days in February in order to increase the aromatic concentration of the grape juice. The aim is to achieve the perfect balance between the freshness, body and structure of the wine. The Torrontés grapes are chilled on dry ice then pressed immediately afterwards to retain the uniquely spicy aromas.
