Tasting notes
Brilliant purple with violet reflections. An open and opulent nose, almost like a small «Bricco della Bigotta». Blackberries, spices, ripe cherries, fine roasted aromas and almonds. Surprisingly complex on the palate, with balanced, perfectly integrated acidity, fine tannins and very elegant with a medium-long finish.

Details
This single-variety Barbera from the «Montebruna» vineyard has intense scents of blackberries and cherries, underpinned by subtle wood and smoke notes with a pinch of pepper. Excellent price to pleasure ratio and always a safe bet!
Recommendations
An aromatic companion to saltimbocca with risotto.
Vinification
The grapes for this single-vineyard wine come from the new «Montebruna» vineyard, with its ideal south-western exposure. After manual harvesting and gentle crushing of the grapes, the must is fermented in stainless steel tanks. The young wine is matured for one year in large oak barrels of 20 to 55 hl, followed by three months of bottle ageing.
