The Monte Grande exhibits an impressive variety of flavours. Ripe exotic fruits and yellow citrus fruits are recognisable on the nose. On the palate, the wine is fresh with a long finish accompanied by sweet almond and vanilla notes. The acidity is well integrated and provides liveliness. The wine has excellent potential for ageing.

Details
Monte Grande Soave Classico doc consists of 70% Garganega and 30% Trebbiano di Soave. The grapes grow in the Monteforte d’Alpone region on a south-facing, 60-year-old vineyard, at an altitude of 150 metres above sea level. The soil is of volcanic origin.
Recommendations
A Bianco that pairs excellently with shellfish and fish dishes such as red tuna or sea bass. It also pairs well with quiche, seafood risotto and roasts. These combinations underscore the delicate aromas of the wine and ensure a harmonious taste experience.
Vinification
The grapes for Monte Grande are grown in Monteforte d’Alpone. The Trebbiano di Soave grapes are harvested in mid-September. The Garganega grapevines are pruned on the first full moon in September and the grapes are then left to dry on the vine for a month before being harvested in mid-October. The grapes are gently destemmed and pressed, then fermented at 13°C in stainless steel tanks. The wine is then aged for ten months in large Allier oak barrels, which gives it its special structure and maturity.
