A deep, luminescent amber colour in the glass, warm and bright. On the nose it develops aromas of quince, chestnut honey and a hint of carob. On the palate the wine is dry, mellow and harmonious, with well-balanced sweetness. Notes of dried figs, vanilla and a fine nuance of bitter almonds combine with a salty minerality and elegant tannins. The long and complex finish captures the essence of the Marsala coast.

Details
This Marsala (dessert wine) tells the story of its origins, characterised by intense sun, cool ocean breezes and the barren, sandy soils of the Trapani coast. The use of overripe Grillo and Catarratto grapes, the traditional vinification and the ageing process, which takes years, all combine to make this wine a unique experience.
Recommendations
A wine to top off an enjoyable evening with friends, or to pair with mature cheese, dried fruits and dark chocolate.
Vinification
The grapes are harvested by hand when they are already slightly overripe, which helps achieve maximum sugar concentration. After they are gently crushed in a traditional basket press, fermentation begins in cement tanks, accompanied by constant oxidation, which prepares the wine for the addition of alcohol. This is followed by the fortification process, involving a mix of wine, boiled must (including some fermented grape must and brandy) and a small percentage of pure grape-based alcohol.
