Intense ruby red with purple hues. Straightforward, compact nose. It exhibits notes of dark berries, cassis, cherries and plums. These are paired with spicy-floral notes. Cloves, violet and discreet roasted notes reveal themselves. On the palate, the wine is very mellow with silky tannins. The finish is long, beautifully complemented by the juicy acidity that whets the appetite for more.

«The Guidalberto is neither a second Sassicaia nor its second wine, but rather a personality in its own right», comments Marchese Nicolò. The elegant composition is matured for 15 months in barriques and impresses with silky tannins and spicy tobacco notes.

Vinification
The grapes are harvested by hand and strictly selected. The ensuing maceration and alcoholic fermentation take place in thermo-controlled stainless steel tanks. The young wine matures for 15 months in American and French barriques (one third of which are new), then a further three months in the bottle.
