Bright golden yellow with light green reflections. On the nose it shows fine aromas of apricots and mango. This is enhanced by discreet nuances of wood, which lend the wine an additional dimension. Wonderfully creamy on the palate, with delicate acidity and a juicy, aromatic finish.

Details
Year after year, Gaun is increasingly establishing itself as Löwengang Chardonnay’s «younger brother». A truly great interpretation of a Chardonnay with excellent delicacy and finesse, reminiscent of the elegance and minerality of a Chablis. And it offers good value for money as well.
Recommendations
The ideal wine with appetisers, fish, fried or grilled crevettes, white meat (pork or veal) and poultry.
Vinification
The Chardonnay grapes are gently pressed after harvest. Following spontaneous fermentation, the wine matures on the fine yeast in wooden barrels and stainless steel tanks for around nine months. One third of the grapes are fermented with their stems.
