Beautiful cherry colour. On the nose, notes of red berries with well-integrated toasty aromas and a subtle spiciness from the barrique. Silky texture in the mouth, juicy and fresh. In comparison to the 2016 vintage, this is not as opulent but more elegant, with very well-balanced acidity and delicate tannins. A classic wine in the style of a good Medoc (Bordeaux) – with the cool freshness of Trentino. Can be enjoyed now, or cellared until 2027-2029

Details
Produced for the first time in 1961, this is considered Italy’s first Bordeaux blend. The calling card of the aristocratic Bossi Fedrigotti family is refined for 18 months in French barriques. The bouquet of this distinguished wine is rich and complex with notes of dried fruits and spices; the palate is powerful, harmonious and elegant.
Recommendations
A distinctive accompaniment for pink roasted meat. Also lovely with Gnocchi with Parmesan.
Vinification
The grape varieties are harvested separately, pressed and fermented in stainless steel tanks. Once blended, it is matured in barriques for around 18 months.
