These are joined by charming roasted notes and spicy components. Powerful and dynamic on the palate. With rich but finely honed tannins. Again ripe, dark berries, compote fruits, dark chocolate and a little tobacco. Long, delightful finish.

The grapes for this top wine grow on the shores of Lake Kaltern. After 18 months in small wooden barrels of 150 and 225 l, it gleams with ripe dark fruits, charming roasted notes and rich tannins. A powerful wine with great class.

Vinification
Only the best grapes from Römigberg (on Lake Kaltern) are used for the top wine of Alois Lageder. The grapes are lightly crushed and macerated according to strict quality controls. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks; after that, the young wine is matured for 19 months in French barriques (Alliers and Nevers, of which one third are renewed each year).
