Medium ruby red. Clear aromas on the nose, with great depth. Cherries, warm spices, some herbs, tobacco. Rich in extract on the palate, the acidity feels well integrated and harmonious. Pure, deep aromas of cherries and spices in the youthfully reserved nose. Impressive depth on the palate, with plenty spice. Long finish of very good aromatic persistence.

The grapes for this wine come from the «Rampante» single vineyard. After picking, the grapes are destemmed and vinified at the nearby Tascante winery at the foot of Mount Etna. Maturation takes place over a 12-month period in 25 hl Slavonian oak barrels. The young wine then matures for a further eight months in the bottle before being released for sale.
