Details
This winery originally consisted of two separate estates, which were joined together in the 17th century. It belonged to two French families for two centuries, before being acquired by the Suntory family in 1925. Suntory invested heavily in a complete renovation of the winery.
Recommendations
Classic Bordeaux, which pairs beautifully with meat dishes in a dark sauce or with grilled foods.
Vinification
An assemblage of 67% Cabernet Sauvignon, 28% Merlot and 5% Petit Verdot, which matures for 21 months in new French oak barrels. It is one of the few Bordeaux wines that are still filtered using egg white.
