Opaque purple-violet, almost black. Deep, elegant; blackberries, blueberries, cedar and delicate roasted notes. Full on the palate with marvellous concentration, interesting and multi-layered with rich potential. Will need a few years to mature.

Vinification
Cos d’Estournel’s 70 hectares of vines are spread over 30 different plots. In the new Cos vinification cellar, each plot is fermented separately, according to the principle of gravity, in a battery of stainless steel tanks. The young wine is then aged for 20 months in up-to-100% new French barriques.
