Deep cherry red with light violet reflections. Notes of cassis and black cherries on the nose, underpinned by a little leather, tobacco and black pepper. On the palate, the wine appears highly spicy, with aromas of dark berries and also phenolic notes. A medium-strength wine with a robust structure and a good, aromatic persistence in the finish.

Details
Matured in small oak barrels, concrete containers and stainless steel, this Cabernet proves to be spicy and pleasantly bitter with wonderful berry notes. Robust structure, long-lasting finish.
Recommendations
Good with dried meat or lamb with herbs.
Vinification
The grapes all come from select locations in Margreid and Kurtatsch. The vineyards are situated between 240 and 350 metres above sea level on gravelly, highly calciferous soil. The mash fermentation and malolactic fermentation in stainless steel tanks take twelve days. After this time, the young wine is aged for 18 months in barriques made of Slavonian oak.
