Intense, opaque ruby red with black reflections; seductive on the nose with aromas of blackberries, cassis, cedar and sweet tobacco. Very dense on the palate with aromas of dark chocolate, elegant wood, dark ripe berries and a hint of vanilla. Even when it is first ready to drink it exhibits silky tannins and a very long, perfectly balanced finish.

Vinification
The grapes for the Le Serre Nuove are harvested by hand and undergo a strict selection process. Each grape variety and parcel is vinified separately. This results in 54 different base wines. The young wines age for 18 months in new and used barriques. After the first twelve months they are blended together and refined for a further six months in barriques.
