Thanks to its elegant and distinctive personality, Grappa Nonino Riserva 8 years matured in barrique makes the perfect end to a meal, a shared pleasure with friends or when enjoying a good read. Unforgettable in combination with cheese, goose liver, dark chocolate or warm chocolate desserts. Full-bodied and long-lasting, it goes particularly well with a Cuban cigar.
Vinification
Fermentation in stainless steel containers at a controlled temperature and in vacuum, followed straight away by distillation to prevent harmful secondary fermentation. Intermittent steam distillation in line with the old family tradition in special, exclusive copper stills that were renewed by Benito Nonino. The distillation happens very slowly so that the volatile components, which provide the bouquet, undergo the correct vaporisation and ensuing condensation process; thus retaining the valuable organoleptic properties of the original grapes. Maturation: Eight years in barriques from Limousin and Nevers and in small former sherry barrels in the cellars of the Nonino distilleries. Bottled with no additional colouring.
