The Bindella family's vineyard in Tuscany appears to be paradise. Just as heavenly: the red and white grapes of the Tenuta.

What was love at first sight 40 years ago is now a thriving 175-hectare winery (55 hectares are planted with vines). Rudi Bindella sen. discovered this beautiful corner of the world near Montepulciano and immediately fell in love. With heart and soul, commitment and a great deal of painstaking work, he and the local team succeeded in turning the initial 2.5-hectare vineyard into a showpiece enterprise. «We are closely connected to the soil», Rudi Bindella sen. always says. For him there is no nobler activity. The success proves him right: more and more oak barrels are filled with the local red gold – Vino Nobile di Montepulciano. In 2022, Gambero Rosso awarded «I Quadri» its highest rating! The renowned Italian wine guide has nothing but praise for the estate and its development under director Giovanni Capuano: «Sangiovese is given a precise identity with clearly identifiable stylistic characteristics that give it personality and a spicy, earthy character that is in keeping with its area of origin.» At Vallocaia, great attention is also paid to Rosso di Montepulciano, complemented by refreshing white grapes, as well as sophisticated sweet wines and grappa that complete any fine meal.

Do visit if you are travelling through Tuscany. Because when it comes to guests, we are all Italian: our doors are wide open. We would be happy to show you our vineyards and the winery. Taste our wines and buy your favourites at attractive prices. We look forward to welcoming you!
