Badia a Passignano
Marchesi Antinori

Behind monastic walls, the Antinori winegrowing family presses flavourful Tuscan wines.
Built in the 11th century, Badia a Passignano Abbey is perched on a hill surrounded by cypress trees in the most beautiful Tuscan landscape. Where Benedictine monks once produced their communion wine, the Antinori family now cultivate the best Sangiovese clones on 223 hectares of limestone-rich soil. The old monastery walls provide ideal conditions for this red gold to mature in the 2,000 barriques.
Just how good the results taste is something you can sample in the in-house bottega and the «Osteria di Passignano». All wines from the renowned winery, plus pasta and other Italian specialities – divine!
