Sauvignon blanc belongs in every summer wine! With its tangy acidity and exuberant aromatics, this grape calls out for a sunny terrace. The variety originally comes from the Loire region, but can now even be found in top wines from New Zealand.

along the Loire: in Sancerre and Pouilly
in Bordeaux
in Styria
in New Zealand
in Italy it is found mainly in the Collio region
What it tastes like:
the flavour profile of Sauvignon blanc is characterised by green notes: tomato leaf, freshly cut grass, gooseberry, asparagus, plus citrus fruits and elderberry
in warm climates, the grape exudes exotic flavours, such as passion fruit
its tangy acidity makes it extremely refreshing
