Details
Vergaia’s second official vintage – 2021 – is still available in limited quantities – just under 6,000 bottles were produced. Matured in barriques, this Bordeaux blend shows a clear Bolgheri character and good ageing potential. A wine that we will be hearing a lot more about!

Marries perfectly with flavoursome cuts of beef, lamb or game, roasted or braised – just as you like it.
Vinification
Most of the grapes come from the Le Tane vineyard, with a particularly strict selection and low yield. The grapes are macerated and fermented in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks immediately after manual harvesting. Once fermentation is complete, the young wine is matured for 15 months in French oak barriques. In late autumn, the wine is bottled, where it rests for a further 12 months.
