Intense amber colour, clear, inviting. The nose is soft, lively and complete. It has light spicy notes of saffron, cinnamon, curry, nutmeg and a fragrance of dried fruit and freshly peeled almonds – long-lasting. The aromatic fragrances are confirmed on the palate. ÙE La Riserva dei Cent’anni consists of different Monovitigno ÙE grape brandies matured for 14 years, which have been combined to achieve the softness, refinement and character of this unique brandy. To celebrate the family’s century-old distilling tradition, the Noninos have been taking four ÙE barriques from Cristina, Antonella and Elisabetta’s cellars every year since 27 September 1998: this is how ÙE La Riserva dei Cent’anni, aged for 14 years in barriques, is created.

Vinification
ÙE is a grape brandy invented by Giannola and Benito Nonino on 27 November 1984. The skins, pulp and juice of the whole grapes are distilled in a single pass. ÙE has the elegance of eau-de-vie and the character of grappa. It is distilled in exclusive, discontinuous steam stills specially created by Benito Nonino for the distillation of grapes, separating the head and tail. Distillation takes place very slowly so that the volatile components responsible for the flavour evaporate properly and then condense, thus preserving the valuable organoleptic properties of the selected grape variety. Maturation: 14 years in barriques from Limousin, Nevers and Grésigne, with no added colourings.
