Straw yellow appearance, the nose is full of fragrant blossom, vegetative tones, a jaunty bitter note of lemon peel. Vital and mineral on the palate, with pronounced acidity. The lightness of an «estate italiana» – all through the year.

Details
From a hilltop near Perugia, the vineyards overlook a big, flat plain; undulating hills rise up behind the medieval town of Cortona… The Tenuta Santa Cristina was established in 2006, paying homage to the wine of the same name and with the vision of preserving and simultaneously rethinking Tuscan tradition. The Vermentino, which has its roots deep in the winemaking history of the region, proves to be a mineral-fresh companion for informal social occasions.
Recommendations
Pairs beautifully with aperitif savouries as well as with vegetable platters, a fine fish fillet or a tender chicken breast.
Vinification
Ample winter rain had filled the water table, meaning the vines were able to tap into these water reserves all through the long, dry summer of 2021 until the harvest of the regularly ripened grapes in the second half of September. After gentle pressing, the must ferments at no more than 17°C and is then stored in stainless steel at a cool 10°C until it is bottled in February.
