Glowing ruby red with violet highlights. On the nose, aromas emerge of ripe, black fruits, especially sour cherries, complemented by discreet, warm spicy and roasted notes, as well as a little vanilla. Harmonious and multifaceted on the palate. The juicy tannin structure, the elegant acidity and the wonderful aromatics are superbly well balanced. A wine that will keep and provide lasting pleasure.

We like to drink this red wine – quite deliberately – with a juicy hamburger.
Vinification
Both grape varieties are vinified separately. The Merlot must is fermented for seven to eight days at maximum 25°C to encourage the best possible development of the texture and fruitiness of the varieties. The Sangiovese must is fermented for slightly longer and at a slightly higher temperature to achieve a more complex spectrum of aromas. The maturation of the young wine takes place over nine months in stainless steel tanks and large oak barrels. After this, the Chianti Superiore matures for a further two months in the bottle before going on sale.
