Dense, brilliant ruby. Aromatic nose redolent of red berries, cherries and warm spices. The multilayered bouquet is further enhanced by notes of black olives and fine herbs. On the palate it is striking and brawny, almost imposing. Lively. A wine that radiates power. Mature tannins of the highest quality, which are well integrated. The aromas of the nose are reflected in the flavours. A long finish that seems almost endless.

A welcome accompaniment to stews. Also try it with veal shanks, with a creamy risotto on the side.
Vinification
The Riserva del Conte is without doubt one of the best wines from Tasca d’Almerita. Perhaps from all of Sicily. The Riserva was born in 2010, a top year, when the Tasca family conceived the idea of fulfilling the great potential offered by the indigenous Perricone grape variety. Only grapes from the very best sections of the Perricone growing areas are used for this wine. They are then combined with Nero d’Avola, which makes up a good third of the blend. The wine is fermented in temperature controlled stainless steel tanks, then matured for 26 months in 500-litre barrels made from chestnut wood.
Only 8,000 bottles were produced.
