Light yellow with slightly greenish highlights, zesty and lively in the glass. On the nose, white blossoms, elderflower and a hint of exotic fruit all come together – with peach and passion fruit providing a playful freshness. On the palate it is fresh and harmonious, with fine perlage, accompanied by a subtle minty note in the finish.

Details
Ortrugo is the white pearl of Colli Piacentini – an indigenous grape variety that has been cultivated here for centuries. The fine, natural perlage is created by a slow secondary fermentation in a pressurised tank, which gives the wine its characteristic frizzante quality. Fresh, aromatic and completely uncomplicated – a wine that is just plain fun. The hand-tied cord around the cork, known as a spago, also gives the bottle a charming traditional look.
Recommendations
Perfect for pairing with antipasti and salumi, light fish dishes or fresh tuna tartar. And for everyone who loves simplicity: you can’t beat Ortrugo and pizza!
Vinification
After a brief cold maceration to extract the aromas, fermentation takes place at a controlled 16° C with selected yeast strains. A gentle second fermentation in the pressurised tank provides the fine perlage which makes Ortrugo so special. The organic growing methods used in the vineyard further emphasise its purity and naturalness.
