The Masianco, but sparkling – that’s Masis Moxxé. This elegant spumante combines the delightful freshness of Pinot grigio and the warm aromatics of dried Verduzzo grapes.
Recommendations
Wonderful as an aperitif, with summer antipasti or fish.
Vinification
The two grape varieties are harvested and vinified separately. The Pinot grigio is harvested around August and immediately vinified in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks. This results in a fresh, fragrant young wine. The Verduzzo is picked at the end of September and dried on wooden grates for around three weeks, the same process as with the production of Amarone. This process is favoured due to the thick skins of the grape variety and aims at a higher concentration of flavours. A short cold maceration at five degrees Celsius is followed by stainless-steel fermentation. Both young wines are blended and transformed into a dry spumante using the Charmat method.
