Tasting notes
Straw yellow with golden highlights. Intense nose, beautiful complexity. Ripe citrus fruit, a sweetish, generous herbal fragrance. The barrique notes complete the bouquet without becoming intrusive. Flattering, engaging and harmonious on the palate. Remarkably clean and straightforward. A lingering finish with great finesse. A masterpiece!

Gambero Rosso
First produced in 1998, this Riserva brings out the temperament and expressiveness of the versatile Turbiana grape variety to marvellous effect. Turbiana is the local name for the Trebbiano di Lugana grape variety. The grapes grow on one of the few very well-aerated and slightly hilly sites in the region and stay on the vine a little longer. The wine is rounder and more complex than most other types of the Lugana grape variety.
The ideal accompaniment to saltimbocca with saffron risotto. Or with roast pollack with hollandaise sauce and fresh asparagus.
The selected grapes are carefully harvested by hand. The grapes are destemmed and pressed. Part of the juice is fermented in barriques. The largest quantity of must ferments in steel at carefully controlled temperatures. After a period of 10 to 14 months, the two wines obtained are married and matured for a further five months before bottling.
