Dark ruby red with violet highlights. Intense nose of blackberries and cherries. Also some leather, cold smoke and tobacco. Plenty of structure on the palate. The juicy tannins, the medium body and the well integrated but finely supportive acidity are all in perfect balance. Medium length, prolonged spicy finish.

Details
Fermented in stainless steel tanks then briefly stored in barriques. Aromas of blackberries and cherries, leather, smoke and tobacco. Well structured in the mouth with juicy tannins, medium body with nicely integrated acidity.

The perfect accompaniment to roast meats, game and aged cheese.
Vinification
The Piedirosso grapes are grown on the Guyot and Pergola systems. The harvest is followed by mash fermentation in stainless steel tanks. The wine is then refined for four to six months in 225-litre barriques.
