Tasting notes
Medium ruby red. Aromatic nose with fruit and fine spices. Blackberries and cloves dominate. A graceful feel. Dry on the palate with perfectly integrated acidity. Reveals a lot of elegance and class in the attack. Quite firm tannins for a Pinot nero. Again dark berries, spices, lovely complexity and a long, structured finish.

Details
This spontaneously fermented Pinot noir matures for several months in wood. A peppery nose with notes of blackberries and raspberries. Elegant, dense and velvety on the palate with firm tannins.
Recommendations
A wonderful accompaniment to venison schnitzel with forest mushrooms and dumplings.
Vinification
The grapes come from the location of the same name, Krafuss, at 500 metres above sea level. The vineyard was newly planted in 1991 with selected Burgundy clones, densely placed for cordon training. Maceration lasts for 18 days in stainless steel tanks and is followed by malolactic fermentation. The young wine then matures for twelve months in barriques (Alliers, Nevers and Vosges, 1/3 of which are new).
