A wine with soul and style, striking a balance between fruit, elegance and a touch of wildness. Bold, but never loud. Soft, but with plenty of character. Valandrea shows what Emilia-Romagna is capable of – with a wink.
Recommendations
Pairs perfectly with aged formaggio di fossa, fine salami or spicy passatelli romagnoli. Also great with prosciutto and Parmigiano – preferably with friends and without paying attention to the time.
Vinification
Love is in the details: the flesh, skins and stems of the grapes are left in the must for a whole month after pressing, then the temperature-controlled fermentation works its magic. After fermentation, the new wine is transferred to oak barrels. It spends a year in second- and third-year barrels, where it develops its well-rounded and spicy quality.
