Crimson red, almost black, with violet reflections. Very full-bodied, multi-faceted and expressive nose. Deep, dark fruit notes, cassis, cedar, mocha, violet, menthol, a little leather, bacon and tobacco. Mouth-filling and meaty on the palate with a very complex array of flavours. The required structure is provided by wonderfully rich but fine-grained tannins and perfectly integrated acidity. The nose aromas are enhanced by notes of sweet herbs. Long, intense and creamy finish.

Vinification
The grapes for il Pino di Biserno are harvested by hand and strictly selected on sorting tables. Maceration takes place for three to four weeks in stainless steel tanks at 28°C. After this, half of the organic fermentation is carried out in new barriques and half in stainless steel tanks. The young wine is then matured for twelve months in new and two-year-old French barriques.
