Medium density, brilliant ruby red. Wonderfully red-berried and spicy on the nose. Aromas of redcurrants, cherries and warm, spicy components unfold. Firm and juicy on the palate. Again wonderfully spicy with noticeable but finely honed tannins and a lively acidity. Charmingly nimble and lively. A delicate meal companion.

First described in 1735 (!), this rarity is now refined for a whole year in barriques: wonderful notes of ripe red berries, cherries and spices. Juicy on the palate with striking but finely honed tannins and a lively acidity. A wine full of charm!
Recommendations
Pairs well with meat and cheese platters as well as fish-based pasta dishes.
Vinification
The Perricone, known as «GUARNACCIO» by the winegrowers of Regaleali, was first described in 1735 and has been planted on the estate since 1954. Clonal selection from the historic vineyard of San Lucio has made it possible to plant new vineyards, which have given rise to this wine, rich in polyphenols and spicy aromas reminiscent of ancient winemaking traditions. The grapes come from vineyards that are around 480 metres above sea level. The grapes are carefully picked by hand, pressed and fermented in stainless steel tanks. The maturation process takes 12 months and is done in barriques made of French oak, which are used for the second or third time.
