Dark ruby red with violet reflections. An intense, complex and pleasantly fragrant nose. Aromas of dark berries, cloves, a little gingerbread spice and brown bread as well as fine toasted notes emerge. Very complex on the palate with a juicy structure that is typical of the grape variety. With finely honed tannins that give the wine its backbone. The palate aromatics harbour spices, cedar, black cherries and plums. The finish is complex, pithy and long-lasting.

This sensational cru, first produced in 1985, shows the amazing potential of red wine from the Marche! It is refined for twelve to 14 months in barriques and is a complex wine, typical of the variety, with wonderful notes of cedar wood and black cherries.
Recommendations
Excellent with braised rabbit, game and grilled specialities.
Vinification
The best lots of the Rosso Conero vineyards are used for this cru. After manual harvesting, the grapes are immediately crushed. Temperature-controlled fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks. The young wine is then aged for twelve to 14 months in French barriques and a further seven months in bottles.
