Ruby red colour with aromas of blackberries, redcurrants and cherries, together with nicely integrated cedar aromas. The tannins are elegant and the wine has a long finish.

Details
The history of Château Poujeaux dates back to the Middle Ages, but it was not until the 19th started producing its own wines in the 19th century. It has been owned by the Cuvelier family since 2008.
Recommendations
Pairs beautifully with a fine cut of meat or a vegetable stew.
Vinification
The blend of 50% Cabernet Sauvignon, 40% Merlot, 5% Cabernet Franc and 5% Petit Verdot is vinified in separate parts. One part is fermented in stainless steel tanks, another in concrete vats and the third in wooden barrels. Once blended, the wine is stored for 12 months in barrique.
