Tasting notes
Intense garnet red. On the nose, notes of cherries, a little dried fruit, leather and cedar. Delicate and yet mouth-filling aromas on the palate redolent of Amarena cherries, a little chocolate, fine wood aromas. Very finely grained tannins and wonderful supporting acidity round off this Brunello perfectly. Its potential for longevity is clear even when it is first ready to drink.

Details
Andrea Costanti is renowned for his outstanding Brunello, which convinces not with power but with elegance and finesse. Typical Sangiovese bouquet with notes of dried fruit, Amarena cherries and chocolate. Balanced and dense on the palate.
Recommendations
An elegant accompaniment for braised meat dishes and aged cheese.
Vinification
Only the best Sangiovese grapes (regionally called Brunello) are used for Tuscany’s king of wines, Brunello. After being picked by hand and crushed, the maceration takes place in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature. The young wine then matures for 18 months in new 350-litre French oak barrels and a further 18 months in large Slavonian oak barrels. Finally, it undergoes a year of bottle-ageing.
