Details
The winery dates back to the 16th century and has been owned by the Cazes family since 1934. Jean-Michel Cazes, who has run the winery since 1974, has invested a considerable amount and given the wine its current character.
Recommendations
Pairs great with aperitifs, puff pastries or poultry.
Vinification
Assemblage of 72% Sauvignon blanc, 22% Sémillon and 6% Muscadelle fermented in stainless steel tanks. Seventy per cent of the wine is then aged in one- to two-year-old barrels and 30% in new barrels. After six months of ageing, the wine is bottled.
