Tasting notes
A rich ruby red colour hints at the impressive body of this wine. On the nose, powerful aromas of red berries are harmoniously complemented by delicate notes of spice. The subtle use of wood gives the wine additional depth without overpowering the fruity nuances. On the palate, this Piedmont cuvée shines with a balanced combination of gently integrated tannins and invigorating freshness. The wine features a full-bodied and round flavour, with a velvety texture that lingers on the palate.

Details
A blend of the classic Piedmontese grapes Barbera and Nebbiolo. Each vintage variation is made from different proportions of grape varieties. Bat21 is native to the renowned Langhe region and embodies the essence of this wine-growing area: the succulent richness of Barbera meets the elegant structure of Nebbiolo, creating a combination that promises both depth and lively freshness.
Recommendations
A versatile wine for drinking throughout a meal. It pairs particularly well with savoury cheeses, grilled meats and delicate charcuterie.
Vinification
The picking of the grapes is done carefully by hand, starting at the end of September and continuing into the first half of October. Each grape variety is vinified separately to preserve its characteristic flavours and properties. After de-stemming, the grapes undergo fermentation with eight to ten days of maceration on the skins to achieve maximum depth. The subsequent ageing process takes place partly in French oak barriques and partly in stainless steel tanks to create a harmonious balance between structure and aroma. BAT21 develops its unmistakable finesse and complexity through further bottle ageing.
