Details
«Vinum regum, rex vinorum», meaning «the wine of kings and the king of wines», is an expression that has accompanied Barolo for centuries. This designation fits perfectly with Mosconi, an outstanding single-vineyard wine from the historic area of Mosconi di Monforte d’Alba. The vines grow in vineyards facing south-southwest at an altitude of 360 to 400 metres above sea level. The terroir comes through

Pairs perfectly with truffle risotto, tagliatelle al ragù di salsiccia or lamb chops.
Vinification
The grapes for this exquisite wine come from the renowned Mosconi sub-appellation in Monforte d’Alba. Immediately after the harvest, the grapes are carefully destemmed and pressed, followed by a seven-day maceration on the skins at a controlled 30°C. The wine is then aged for at least 18 months in 500-litre oak barrels. The result is an impressive wine that is already ready to drink, but promises an exceptionally long life.
