Tasting notes
Powerful ruby. Mature aromas of high intensity. There are spicy and fruity, but also balsamic notes. Fruit compote, dried flowers, well-balanced roasted aromas, somewhat nutty, leather. Aromatics of good complexity and density. Very full-bodied on the palate, with a well-balanced acidity and robust, quality tannins. Fruit compote once more with warm, spicy and balsamic notes. The finish is well structured and aromatically long-lasting. An Amarone with character.

La Bionda exudes a wonderful aroma of stewed fruit, dried flowers and leather, and on the palate it is very full-bodied, with warm spice and bold tannins. An Amarone with character!
Excellent with braised meat, dark chocolate or simply on its own.
Depending on the variety, the grapes are carefully selected in the vineyard between the end of September and the end of October and are harvested by hand. After the harvest, the grapes are dried on racks called «arelle» until at least the end of January, as is customary with Amarone production. The grapes lose around 40 per cent of their own weight here. Simultaneously, sugar, flavour and extract are concentrated, lending the future wine a unique aroma and great concentration. After the aforementioned drying, the grapes are fermented at low temperatures in a stainless steel tank. Once fermentation is complete, the young wine matures for 36 months, partly in barriques and partly in 30 hl oak barrels. Following the blending of the two batches, the finished wine remains in bottles for another eight months before hitting the shelves.
